A lot can be achieved when corporate bodies, institutions, and organizations offer financial aids to local communities where they are domiciled, and this is the approach by American Management University as it makes its first donation for 2022
The American Management University understands the necessity to give back to the local community, and they have moved from talks to implementation. At the end of 2021, the Board of Directors at the university agreed that more needed to be done to show support for local nonprofits. The school has shown its commitment to helping multiple nonprofit organizations in the community local to their main office in West Covina, and the first recipient of AMU’s generosity is the San Gabriel Valley Child & Youth Development Annual Campaign 2022 for the YMCA of Orange County.
Founded in 1912, the YMCA is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening individuals and communities across the country. The organization has many locations all over the United States. AMU made a modest donation of $500.00 on January 6, 2022, to help kickstart the San Gabriel Valley Child and Youth Development Annual Campaign.
“Although it is not a huge donation, we hope to get the ball rolling for this campaign,” AMU’s President, Roy Virgen, asserted. “Larger nonprofits with bigger marketing budgets tend to get the most help from donors, however many times it is the smaller, local nonprofits that can use more assistance. AMU and the Board want to ensure we can lend a hand to those organizations around us. We will also look at other nonprofits in the area who may be able to benefit from some help,” he added.
AMU’s Board has a budget set aside for donations this year. After a one-year break in operations due to COVID-19, they plan on continuing with their mission to educate future leaders. The school uses this medium to implore other organizations, corporate bodies, and well-meaning individuals to back up the initiative to support the local community. AMU is an online university that focuses on masters and doctoral degree programs in Leadership, Business, and Sports Management. AMU is currently only open to members of the International Alliance of Business Professionals, making enrollment exclusive.
